Anna Van Gucht

I would love to support the society by helping create events, assisting the president, and overall ensuring conviviality. I would love for the society to have more "social" events with a more relaxed atmosphere while still perpertuating the thrilling academic and career events that SEAD has. We are a diverse society: spanning different years, different campuses and even different courses, so my goal would be to give us more opportunities to reunite members and learn from one another. Currently, I'm the communications officer for SEAD, so I also have some experience working for the society and helping with events, but I'd like to be also at the initiative side.

Ivan Law

Studying within the EAD program presents its unique set of challenges, and I firmly believe that SEAD's core values have the potential to enhance the academic experience for students. By serving as a dynamic social platform, offering valuable career guidance, and fostering a vibrant community centred around the intersection of architecture and engineering, SEAD provides essential support and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

My extensive leadership background, including roles as Head Prefect, Chairperson, and Vice Chairperson in various clubs, underscores my adeptness in team coordination and effective leadership. My active involvement in organising and participating in public affairs activities within another UCL society has also equipped me with transferable skills that are directly applicable to my prospective role in SEAD.

Should I be elected, I am committed to upholding SEAD's legacy as a vital link between students and faculty, and within the student body itself. By spearheading an array of engaging social events and ensuring clear pathways for students' progression, whether in internships or job applications, I aim to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment throughout every stage of their academic journey.

I am Ivan Law, a first-year student in the EAD program, and I humbly seek your support in the upcoming election. Together, let us work towards making SEAD an even more vibrant and inclusive community where every member can thrive. Thank you.
