Hi everyone!
My name is Sasha, and I am a first-year Politics, Sociology, and East European Studies student. I am running to be your Welfare and Engagement Officer this upcoming year!
If elected, I will:
Organise more social wellbeing events - students’s mental health is my no.1 priority. Social wellbeing events are crucially important to support students in challenging circumstances, and that is what I’m passionate about.
Continue making SSEES society a welcoming setting - SSEES is lucky to have so many students of diverse backgrounds. Only by working together, can we ensure SSEES society is a welcoming community, where everyone is treated with respect.
Increase Engagement - SSEES events should strive to appeal to all SSEES students. I will work closely with the Committee to diversify the range of events organised by SSEES Society.
As an Academic Representative for my course, I worked to address a wide range of problems that students encounter with their mental health and well-being. I look forward to continuing this important work if elected as your Welfare and Engagement officer
