Abdullah Althagafi

Becoming the president of the Saudi Society at University College London (UCL) is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on both the Saudi and broader student communities. This role is not just a position of leadership; it's a platform to encourage cultural exchange, promote understanding, and build a strong, interconnected community.

My personal motivation for aspiring to this role is the opportunity to transform the image of the Saudi Society at UCL. I aim to evolve it from a quiet and inactive group into a vibrant and lively society. Setting a solid concrete for future committees to build upon and continue our legacy. This transformation will be achieved by organizing a variety of events, whether they are cultural, social, or competitive sports tournaments. These events will serve as a bridge, connecting students from diverse backgrounds and allowing them to experience the vibrant traditions and art of Saudi Arabia.

In essence, I would be at the helm of these initiatives, guiding the society in its mission to promote Saudi culture and facilitate meaningful connections. I want to make sure that these events are not only successful but also inclusive, welcoming all participants and attendees. My role will be more than just organizing events, It's about building a platform where Saudi students can celebrate their heritage while also engaging in a dialogue with the wider student body.

Mohanad Alsaleh

I am honoured to nominate myself for the position of President of the Saudi Society at UCL. As a passionate advocate for cultural exchange and community building, I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all Saudi students on campus. I want to create a space where we can all kick back, have a good time, and support each other. Also, I am keen on teaching others the rich culture and traditions of our beloved country. Let's break down barriers, promote cultural awareness, and make this whole university experience better together. I am all ears for ideas, and I am excited to bring some positive vibes to the Saudi Society. So, let's make it happen!
