Linas Sidlauskas

I would like to help students to manage stress and get involved in various activities, to promote balanced lifestyle where one is not completely consumed by University’s workload. By becoming Welfare Officer, with the help of my team, we can help current UCL students and various communities outside of the University. I have worked with Russian and Lithuanian societies in the past, at another university, helping with small and large events. I have organized events myself around London, involving +20 people. I hold some recent training that may be useful, which include: UCL Safeguarding Training, Prevent, Sustainable UCL, Disclosing and managing conflicts of interest, Introduction to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and many more. I have also completed UCL Arena Gateway Workshop. These will allow me to have additional considerations when working with people, but also in-regards to wider social issues such as sustainability. To conclude, I am out going, sociable and enjoy getting others involved, for the reasons above, I believe I make an ideal candidate and come with full support from my peers.
