Anna Van Loon

As your 2023/24 social secretary this year, I have thoroughly enjoyed organising fun, interactive and creative events that have all proven to be very successful. I particularly enjoyed collaborating with other charities and societies to organise the MSF run and the upcoming UoL Running Boat Ball. Organising and perfecting these events has been the highlight of my time within RAX.

As your Community Outreach and Events Officer, I want to draw from my experience in RAX to provide the following:

- Increase collaborations with other UCL societies to improve RAX's presence within UCL. I hope to create foundations for future annual collaborations that will develop RAX's reputation as a hard-working, kind, social and charitable society.
- Organise and lead the LLHM, ensuring that members feel supported during their training and fundraising schemes.
- Ensure I am receptive to the club's voice, by supporting fundraiser event opportunities for charities which are requested from the community. Collaborate with charities such as: MSF, Amnesty International, UNICEF, Cancer Research, OddBalls etc
- Promote external fundraiser events to improve RAX's engagement with large-scale charity events.

Overall I want to create a lasting impact on the club, ensuring that members will feel motivated to pursue their own engagement with  societies and charities at UCL. I hope to foster a conscious and charitable community and leave a legacy of compassion and activism within RAX and beyond.
