Punjabi Society: Vice President

Hi everyone, I'm Saran! Being part of Punjabi society really helped me settle into University as having a sense of community made the transition a lot less daunting and also enabled me to meet some of my closest friends! I would love the opportunity to help next years fresher's do the same by planning and organising socials in the role of vice president.

I believe my experience as an FYR has shown me what is required to be part of a commitee and how to promote and execute various events such as mixed grill motives and movie nights! I have the key skills required to be successful in this role such as team work, organisation and determination. 

I recently visited Punjab and my trip strengthened my connection with my culture as I truly appreciated the beauty of Punjabi heritage, which I am keen to make sure is not lost. I am extremely proud to be Punjabi and would thoroughly enjoy being able to spread this passion and continue building a close community which showcases our culture :)
