Punjabi Society: Treasurer

Standing for Punjabi Society Treasurer is an opportunity for me to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the society. As someone who is currently undertaking a maths and economics degree I feel as though I am perfectly suited for the responsibilities that come with the role, especially as someone who aspires to work in the finance industry. Furthermore, my organisational skills will equip me to deal with the challenges of the role and will allow me to ensure that the society remains financially responsible. In addition, I believe my ability to collaborate effectively with others will help to make me a suitable member of the committee. Punjabi society in particular is important to me as it represents my cultural background and also the environment that I grew up in. Moreover, I have enjoyed participating in many of the events held this year, so I feel eager to not only continue to be involved, but also to be able to help provide that experience for both existing and incoming members. To summarise, I am applying for the role of treasurer because in my view it is a valuable chance for me to provide for a society which I am deeply connected to, in a way that suits my existing skills and abilities.
