Saanvi Bajaj

Hi! I am Saanvi and I'm running for marketing officer! I have loved being part of one of UCL's most vibrant societies this year, in which I have found some of my closest friends. As Marketing Officer, I would love to play a bigger part in this community by encouraging more students to discover the unique warmth and energy that our society has to offer. I believe that the heart of this society lies in the people in it, and I would aim to increase awareness and inclusivity to reach out to as many people as possible to grow the society further. By promoting the exciting events, I would try to ensure nobody misses out on the amazing experiences this society organises. I am very proud to be Punjabi, and I will be determined to increase awareness to allow the growth of this amazing society which celebrates our culture!

Keira Suain

I am excited to put forth my candidacy for the position of Marketing Officer. I bring with me a strong passion for this role, and I believe that I have the qualities required.

As a member of my sixth form's leadership team, I acquired organisational and logistical skills critical for marketing. One of my roles was to promote and gather students' opinions regarding events. I helped plan and promote our sixth form’s annual valedictory, so I am aware of the aspects that contribute to successful marketing strategies.

Social media is pivotal in connecting communities and my awareness and knowledge of how to utilise it as a tool for spreading information means I am well equipped to initiate marketing campaigns that can help expand the society’s reach.

Creativity is another strength that I bring to the table. During secondary school, I developed a passion for graphic design and became familiar with design software like Photoshop allowing me to create marketing materials.

I have a personable nature enabling me to communicate well and form crucial connections. I believe collaboration within the Punjabi society and other societies is integral to outreach and I can help facilitate communications.

My goal is to foster a sense of belonging and ensure that events are communicated effectively to maximise participation. I strongly believe that the sense of community is what makes Punjabi society unique and am deeply committed to enhancing this and will dedicate myself to fulfilling my role.
