Public Affairs and Social Service Society: Publications & Promotions Officer

Having moved abroad to the UK last September, I can completely relate to the feeling of anxiety and isolation freshers encounter when navigating the transition into university life. UCLPASS has been instrumental in creating a welcoming and supportive environment which brings a sense of belonging that has smoothed my shift from high school. Being actively involved in PASS events has allowed me to value the committee’s predominant aim to not only keep students connected to social affairs and informed about the diverse career paths, whilst also making a positive impact on the community through organising events which advocates communication and organisation skills amongst members. Thereby, I hope to contribute back to the PASS community which has played a vital role in my personal development for others to also experience and benefit from. 

Being a subcommittee member of the Publications Department and participating in different projects such as AR Marketing has made me realise the crucial role Publications play in the building and maintaining of the visual representation of UCLPASS. Publications serve not just for information dissemination and event promotion but are also key for embracing the achievements and milestones of PASS, as well as fostering unity and inclusivity among members.
