I would like to run for this position because I believe that firstly, as a pharmacology student and a member of the society I have demonstrated a genuine interest in the subject and in a leadership position I feel that I would translate this interest into working hard to make other students feel as passionately as I do about pharmacology.
In addition to this, I started my own pharmacology society in high school and am familiar with the dedication and type of work that someone in a leadership position would be required to do. Since I have experience in leadership in a similar situation, I feel that I would be able to utilize the skills that I already developed in this project, as well as benefit from learning new skills by working in a group that is on a larger scale.
I am also a social person and am very comfortable with speaking to and gathering information from large groups of people, which is the job of a 2nd year representative. I am very approachable and enjoy interacting with new people which would make me a good candidate for the position as it is very important that the representative for my year group has the appropriate skills to do the job to a high standard. I am open to accomplishing any task that is set and ready to make the commitment to this position.

Hi, I'm currently doing Msci Pharmacology, and hopefully will enter my second year soon. Becoming a 2nd year representative will allow me to share my knowledge of pharmacology with younger students, communicate any cool pharmacology events to my cohort, and boost my overall interest for the subject! Not only this, I really enjoy communicating more with other people about things outside of my course content, of course still related to the best subject - pharmacology !
