Mike Park

As current string orchestra manager and member of the committee, I have been full heartedly supporting the vision of recording every concert given by the music society. The current tech officer, Leo, has delivered some truly amazing results. I have been working with him to record audio and video of the concerts, including several concert band and string orchestra concert and the latest spring symphony concert, and wish to continue what he has established.

My vision is to not only maintain the current level of delivery but also firmly plant music society's in-house recording team by seeking the society's investment in recording equipments for the practice to be more sustainable, providing high quality recordings that will benefit the entire society for many years to come.

On top of in-house recording, I wish to engage with other relevant UCL societies in filming and especially photographing, as well as those who have worked with us in the past and wish to do so in the future. This will allow us to deliver the best result for the society members.

I would also like to expand the role of tech officer and cooperate with other committee members, especially managers on logistical solutions. My experience as manager taught me logistics skills that is useful not only for tech duties but also smoother concert operation. As tech officer who would be present for every concert, I believe I can further support the managers should they seek.
