Being a part of the UCL Muay Thai club for the past two years has been a wonderful part of my university experience and I will always treasure all the friends and memories I have made thanks to our amazing community. I want to continue giving back to this club by re-running for the position of treasurer, which gave me the opportunity to play a key role in growing and fostering this community that I love.

In the past year as treasurer, I have generated record profits and minimised our expenses, providing the club with a solid base for growth in the following year. By electing me for the position of treasurer again, I will help mobilise our funds for higher quality equipment and hosting more fun events! My focus is on community and making the experience of UCLMT as fun as possible. Having done Muay Thai since I was 15, I am passionate about sharing my experience with everyone and enhancing the club’s sense of camaraderie. Last year I worked with the president on creating the fighter sponsorship scheme which was a massive success for the competitive side of our club, this year I hope to use the extra funds generated to bring this opportunity to even more people. Just like last year, I want to make our interclub competitions, in which I and many others have participated in, more accessible and fun for everyone!

Thanks for reading my nomination, I look forward to the chance to do even more for this great community!

Hi UCLMT,

I've been doing Muay Thai for over a year now and love it - I recently had my first (non-decision) match and am very grateful to everyone who supported me and the other fighters!

I'm running for treasurer this year because I want to give us the events and equipment we deserve. This club has the best community I could ask for, so it's only fair that we repay you by using your money carefully - I also do STEM so you know I'm good with numbers.

I have a few ideas on how we could maximise our funding, and am looking into grants from UCL itself, especially since we're such a large club now.

A vote for me is an investment towards the economic future of UCLMT!

Thanks,

Ethan

Dear Members,

Since joining the Muay Thai Club, I have fallen in love with not only the sport, but the community as a whole. I genuinely cherish the deep sense of camaraderie, discipline and passion which we all share with one another through Muay Thai.

I want to take the opportunity to give back to the society by applying to be a part of the committee, using my financial acumen to hopefully take on the responsibility of treasurer. As someone who studies a very mathematical degree, I believe my skills are best suited to managing funds, allocating resources and coordinating budgets to make events and merchandising as affordable as possible for us all.

Having been elected as the chair of the finance committee in high school, I have cultivated strong leadership skills and honed my financial management capabilities - attributes I am eager to bring to Muay Thai. If elected, I will strive to minimise costs and maximise the mutual benefits we share, to holistically upgrade Muay Thai to the next level.

I am confident that, with my experience, dedication, and enthusiasm, I can make a meaningful and lasting impact as Treasurer. Together, let us continue building a Muay Thai community that not only excels in the ring but also thrives in unity and mutual support. I humbly request your vote and support in this endeavour, and I look forward to the opportunity to contribute towards the continued success of the Muay Thai Club.
