MUA Society: Secretary

Hi! I’m Sara and I’m running to be MUA Society’s Secretary. Like most of us in the society, I am really passionate about makeup, both as a form of empowerment and creativity, and would love to be a part of the committee to help run this Society!

As Secretary, I would help run communications, making sure our members are informed on our events. This would involve messaging on our Society group chat and drafting newsletters about upcoming events and opportunities. I would also like to consider suggestions from members like what types of events everyone would like to attend; feedback on communication methods; and polls to measure members’ interest and availabilities for events.

Having had some experience being on a committee before, I understand the importance of communication and the commitment it takes to work in a team. By helping keep things in order within the committee, assisting in organising and note-taking in meetings, I believe I could help support our members so that the best events can keep being put on for our Society!

I would really like to keep up the welcoming environment of the society and try to get as many people involved as possible so we can continue to build a friendly, inclusive makeup-artistry community– including everyone from lifelong makeup enthusiasts to those who are curious about where to start. I hope to be your Secretary and that we can grow our community together! :)
