With an election year coming up, deciding how the society decides to actively campaign is vital. This comes with appropriate use of society funds, accommodating travel fees for our participation. To have our voices heard we must get involved in the grass roots campaigns and as treasurer I would ensure we have the funds and organisation to achieve this.

Jason Ampatzoglou

Hi everyone,

I've been involved with UCL Labour since autumn last year; not sure if I expected to engage with it as much as I did -- but found myself turning up at virtually every event, and even campaigning in London and the Kingswood by-election.

This calendar year being a local and general elections year, my aim is to support the President and the society's activities to the best of my abilities, as we're bound to be super busy. Things I'd like to see more of are visits to the Houses of Parliament, organizing events with other uni societies, and inviting election candidates.

Having engaging conversations and taking steps towards shaping a better society is what I will always be pushing for, and UCL Labour offers many opportunities for doing so.

See you all at the next event!
