Jazz Society: Small Bands Manager

Hi, I'm Sean, and I'm standing to be Jazz Society's Small Bands Manager for next year!

Having joined UCL this year, I feel that I have full immersed myself in all aspects of Jazz society, including concerts, jams and  performances. Most notably I have greatly gotten involved in the jazz jams at the IOE on Monday and Phineas on Tuesday, having regularly attended them every week. In December I joined the committee as co-jam manager, assisting in both the Monday and Tuesday jams and have greatly benefitted from this role, having massively enjoyed providing a great experience for players and spectators alike. 

I have attained great experience in this role in the past couple of months, regularly assembling bands, running jams, and organising the transportation of gear to and from the jam. For this reason I believe I'm a candidate with a great amount of experience and passion for this role. 

I also greatly believe in the importance of inclusivity in the jam, where anyone can join the open jam, regardless of their ability - I feel that this can help spread the joy of jazz and offer its greatness to a wider audience.

In summary, I feel that I am a great candidate because of my passion, experience and organisational skills and would look forward to having this role and serving Jazz society if elected.
