Japan Society: Design Officer

Hi everyone!

I am Li-Hsuan, feel free to call me Tommy. I am a Second-year student who is very interested in Japanese culture.

I have participated in many social and cultural events held by the Japan society throughout these two years of university life. These events amazed me so much as they enabled me learn many different Japanese traditions and make new friends who is also interested in them. Moreover, I joined the Japanese lessons held by the society. It gives me useful knowledge in the path of learning Japanese. Due to all the enjoyable events and the fulfilling lessons I have joined, I would like to let more people know about them and be part of us in the future. This is the reason why I am running for the design officer of the society.

During this academic year, I have participate the Japan society as a sub-design officer. By doing this role, I know more about how the society works and what to do as a committee member. And, practice designing posts for the events held by the society. Moreover, I am passionate in designing arts and making crafts. I have designed a wood charm, some ceramics, and some other arts before. I believe my previous experiences and passion for Japanese culture would help to promote the activities and the language lessons organised by the society.
