Jai Jinendra, I’m Dev and I’m running for President of Jain Society this year. As FYR for Jain Soc, I have enjoyed the socials and recognised the responsibilities that come with this role. My vision for Jain Soc is to increase the size and scope of the society, emphasising education and fun, while spreading peace and harmony advocated by Jainism. I plan to organise social and educational events such as course tutorials, career evenings, dinners, socials and fundraisers with a strong team.

I am passionate about advancing the understanding and practice of Jain philosophy and teachings. Through educational workshops and seva events, I aim to deepen our members' knowledge of Jain principles of giving back to the society (Dana). By cultivating a community of mindful and compassionate individuals, I plan to make a meaningful impact!

I recognise the importance of fostering strong relationships with other student organisations, academic institutions, and Jain communities. Having volunteered in Jain organisations in London such as Jain Network, I think collaboration is essential. The Jain organisations of London are planning to grandly celebrate the 2550th Nirvana Mahostav of Lord Mahavira in July and I plan for Jain Soc to get involved.

I aspire to lead the UCL Jain Society with dedication to shared values whilst possessing qualities of leadership and organisational skills. I believe in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment; hence all your voices will be heard.
