Nadelia Keisha

As a first year studying abroad, I have recognized the challenge of staying in touch with our cultural roots, further allowing me to appreciate the role the Indonesian Society plays in bridging this gap. As a potential Events Director, I aim to create a range of events celebrating the richness and beauty of our heritage, while broadcasting its diversity to the wider UCL community. Drawing from my extensive experience in event planning, including initiatives like the Lovepink’s Ultra Pink Charity Concert, Edukarta Book Drives, and Rangkul Ragam’s “Ruang Ragam” event in collaboration with Bijak Memilih, an Indonesian Think Tank, I have learned the key elements of a successful event: planning, collaboration, and communication. My past experiences has greatly helped me hone such skills, thus why I believe that I am well-prepared in bringing success to the Indonesian society. As I aspire to take on the role of Events Director, I hope to foster a sense of pride and unity within our members, ensuring a deeper appreciation and connection with our beloved culture, alongside bringing in more people into our tight-knit community.

Celine Tedja

Hello everyone, I’m Celine. As a member of the UCL Indonesian Society for the past few months, I thoroughly enjoyed the events held by the society, and I’ve seen how important they are in strengthening bonds between members and nurturing friendships. Hence, I would like to become an events director and directly participate in planning and organising events. As an events director, I would like to continue the programs that have been successfully held (and potentially run new ones) while also making improvements based on previous evaluations and feedback. I would also ensure good collaborations with other societies to give our members the chance to meet more people and extend their network. In terms of organisational experience, I am currently in the PSDM team of PPI London, where I have organised team-building activities for the internal committees. I had a fun time doing it, and I am willing to transfer the skills that I have gained into the events director role in this society. I am excited about the future potential of the UCL Indonesian Society and the opportunity to grow in this close-knit community.
