Vaidehi Kadhane

Hi everyone! I’m Vaidehi, and I’m excited to run for the position of Social Media Officer.

With my experience as the former Marketing Officer for Malayali Society 2023-2024, I bring creativity, dedication, and a love for dance to this role. I have honed my digital design skills using platforms like Canva. This expertise will allow me to create visually appealing and engaging content for our social media channels. I know how to create posts that not only attract attention but also foster a sense of community and engagement. With more than 1k followers on Instagram, I can effectively market our posts to a large audience. I envision transforming our online presence by building a supportive community, providing consistent updates and actively listening to feedback.

Thank you and I am excited about possibly bringing my social media and design experience to our society 😊

Sanjana Krishnan

Hey everyone! I’m Sanjana and I’m thrilled to be running for social media officer! Indian Dance is so energising after an exhausting day at uni. Regularly attending weekly sessions and participating in workshops by Ria Saraf and Krupali have been a huge inspiration for me. Now it’s my turn to give back.

Having recently joined the CMUK Marketing Team, I’ve gotten to know my way around platforms like Canva and Postwizz and have learned exactly what grabs people's attention. Plus, if anyone is an expert on Instagram or TikTok, it’s me:) – I can use my creativity and expertise to build a dynamic, engaging online platform to draw in more dance enthusiasts to spread the joy of dance within our passionate community.

Exploring diverse dance genres, from Bharatanatyam to Bollywood fusions, and embracing the spirited beats of Bhangra, I stepped out of my comfort zone and thrived while choreographing a dance medley for our Christmas Cultural Showcase. This leadership role will help me lead innovations for social media strategies in the future.

Next year, I hope to work with videographers to capture beautiful moments for a behind-the-scenes series, showcasing the making of dance routines to make the society more relatable and welcoming. I also hope to collaborate with the social secretary to advertise more socials to ensure inclusivity is at the core of our community and most importantly, to make many new friendships along the way!

That’s all from me! Hope I can count on your vote;)
