Mahima Hansoge

Having been a passionate dancer from a young age, I am driven by a desire to share the fun of Indian dance with others. I see this society as a platform for promoting Indian culture, fostering community, and providing students with a space to have fun, relax, and express themselves.

Through my leadership, I envision organising workshops, masterclasses, and enabling a range of performance opportunities with various dance styles. I aim to create an inclusive environment where dancers of all skill levels feel welcomed and supported. Additionally, I aspire to collaborate with other societies on campus to promote cross-cultural exchange and some fun experiences. Being fully aware that this society is new, it is thrilling to think about the various directions in which it can expand, and how I can make this happen.

I am suited for this role for multiple reasons. Firstly, I have consistently demonstrated excellent leadership qualities, from being Deputy Head of School to Captaining the netball team. The former role also required communication within a team and administrative and organisational skills.

Moreover, I have already exemplified these skills through my position as Dance Director this year, by always being reliable in running classes, workshops and committing to external performances. I believe my unwavering commitment and sincerity in my role as Dance Director is a testament to my competence for the President role.

It would be an honour to secure this position.
