Here’s an IDEA: voting for me as your new Events Officer! My name is Cleo, a second-year Geography student, and I have a drive for positive global change. By voting for me, I will organise new events and create a friendly and welcoming environment. I have previous experience in planning and coordinating events through my time as an English teacher, during which I was responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, as well as organising wider events, as part of a wider group of teachers. My experience here taught me the importance of creating a trusting and empowering environment for students, that ensures a positive dynamic. As the events officer for the IDEA committee, I would bring my organisation, proactivity and problem-solving skills to organise new and unique events, in hopes of creating a positive impact in our community. I would also focus on more career opportunities, through talks, networking, and career skills workshops, so that members are best prepared for a career in social enterprises and related jobs. So – how do you feel about my IDEA?
