Full thing on FB, here's an overview!

Somewhat to my distress, September marks my 1 0th hockey season, however it certainly shows my dedication to the sport. Through these years I've played several roles, from B team sub to national champion, centre back to striker, silly fresher to 1st XI captain, only thing you won’t catch me doing is putting on keeper kit. I’ve lived the sport's highs and lows and this makes me well equipped to be pres.

I've seen the demanding work required, and with organisation, care, and a strong committee, next season can be a seamless continuation of this one. I intend on readying as much as possible over summer so everything's in place and each committee position has a plan before season starting.

I don't plan on huge, novel changes, instead this is a promise to uphold the club’s structure and values, easing the yearly handovers.

Some aims: 

• Coaches: this year's been a big step up, but not having a matchday coach is detrimental. I will look for 2 coaches able to commit to training and matches.
• Teamo: a team organising app. Helpful to see availability for matches, training, socials, making planning much easier. I'd ensure it's a club wide app to help captains and players better organise their week. Plus you can make sick teamsheets.
• Training: LV pitches are great, I'd maintain this relationship and try to secure a later slot. I will have an in-person meeting with all captains well before term starts to avoid training-related conflicts.
