Hindu Society: Treasurer

Hello everyone, I'm a first year Politics and international relations student.

For the past couple of months, I have been greatly involved in Hindu Society as an FYR and I have really enjoyed my time working with the committee. Being part of the society's flagship event Rangeela, as a performer and committee member, I was able to gain a deep insight into how a society is run and how everyone comes together, as a team, to plan and organise the events. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to be part of the journey and also build close bonds with all the members.

I believe I would make a good Treasurer since I possess the leadership skills required for this role, due to my previous experience as a Sports centre manager. Attending finance conferences and society events at university has helped me further my knowledge of the field. I believe I also have a very analytical nature, an essential skill when handling different pieces of data, from invoices to contracts. All these experiences would make me a perfect fit for maintaining the accounts and budgets for all events.

UCL's Hindu Society has provided me with an amazing experience and has helped me build a community of friends and people that I am grateful to be surrounded with. I would love to be part of the society next year to continue spreading this feeling of community to future students. I am truly excited to utilise my knowledge learnt this year to plan and execute even better and wonderful events for next year.
