Aaditya Kumar

As a candidate for the Marketing and Sales Officer position in the Hindu Society, I am eager to utilise my extensive experience in social media management and content creation to effectively promote our events and activities. My involvement in various high school clubs' social media teams, coupled with my proficiency in poster creation and video editing, has equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in this role.

Throughout high school, I actively contributed to the social media teams of several clubs, where I gained hands-on experience in managing various platforms and creating engaging content. Whether it was promoting social events, sharing informative posts, or showcasing our activities, I consistently demonstrated my ability to effectively communicate our message to our audience.

In addition, my expertise in poster creation using platforms like Canva and video editing skills with iMovie and Filmora will be invaluable in designing and producing promotional material for all our events across multiple platforms. I understand the importance of visual appeal in capturing the attention of our audience and conveying information effectively.

Furthermore, my strong organisational skills and ability to manage time efficiently will ensure that I keep on top of posts and deliver content in a timely manner. I am committed to coordinating with the Sanskaar team to produce informative posts about Hinduism, enriching our members' understanding of our culture and traditions.

Ishaan Kulkarni

Having worked in both retail and hospitality I have learnt the key skill of selling and the implementation of different types of selling.

In terms of Hindu Society in general, since joining UCL i felt the sense of community from the beginning. The family scheme is something I would want to continue further on to help new freshers settle in.

Shreshta Sanyal

As an already active member of the Hindu Society, I've loved attending events like Garba, Diwali Ball, Rangeela, and more! These experiences have not only deepened my connection to the society but also provided me with valuable insights into its culture, values, and the needs of its members; my firsthand experience allows me to approach marketing initiatives with a genuine understanding of our audience's preferences and interests.

I developed a passion for creating aesthetic and informative content during my tenure at GirlUp. Be it sharing stories, raising awareness, or promoting events, I delivered engaging posts that resonated with our audience using editing platforms like Photoshop, Canva and Filmora. These skills will add more creative flair to our society's promotional materials, ensuring they stand out on social media platforms.

Speaking of platforms, I am well-versed in leveraging Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others to connect with diverse audiences and maximize engagement; be it through meaningful ways, or by hopping onto cringey trends! Being a leader taught me how to liaise with different stakeholders to achieve common goals. Whether it's coordinating with other teams to produce posts or communicating with societies to promote collaboration, I am committed to ensuring the success of our marketing efforts.

I am genuinely excited about this opportunity and am confident that my skills, experience, and enthusiasm will contribute to our society's growth and success!

Aditi Baskar

Having previously served as the head of marketing for my school's Medical Society, I have honed my skills in strategic planning, campaign execution, and audience engagement. My experience has equipped me with the knowledge of various marketing techniques and platforms, including creating promotional social media posts for Instagram and Facebook, as well as infographic leaflets. The positive response and increased engagement resulting from these efforts underscored the effectiveness of our strategies. Moreover, my proficiency in photo and video editing software such as Canva and iMovie, coupled with my background in A-level art equips me to craft creative, professional content that resonates with our audience. My active presence across multiple social media platforms has provided me with a thorough understanding of audience behavior and trends. I have successfully curated TikTok content in the past that has resonated with viewers and garnered significant attention, showcasing my ability to create unique and engaging content. Finally, whilst I recognize the challenging nature of this role, I am well-prepared to manage my time efficiently to meet its demands. Alongside the opportunity to meet new people and collaborate effectively as a team, I firmly believe that my dedication and enthusiasm will enable me to thrive in this position.

Asmi Panda

Hi everyone, I’m Asmi, a first-year medic running for Sales and Marketing Officer! Since being a member of Hindu Society, I have deepened my faith, forged connections, and become part of a diverse, tight-knit community. I would love to carry on this experience as part of the committee!

Through social media, I want to teach and showcase our culture while creating a positive impact. Having worked with creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop through 6th form, I am eager to use my creativity to promote HSoc events in a unique way. Also, I understand the TikTok algorithm and have experience filming and editing many, some of which have accumulated tens of thousands of views. I am adaptable and a great team worker who values communication to get tasks done on time. I have developed interpersonal skills through being an active member of Braj Gopika Seva Mission UK over a few years, helping them organise and promote events. I am eager to apply the skills I have learnt from these experiences to this role.

I am also excited to make some positive changes. For example, asking people to share their opinions using polls and surveys, creating online contests about Hindu culture to create buzz, and designing termly newsletters to spread knowledge, to name a few things.

Overall, I would love to be a Sales and Marketing Officer for Hindu Society. I believe I have the right skills, experiences, and creative ideas to represent Hindu Society proudly in the best possible way!
