Artemiy Safronov

Hello GUILD Members,

I'm Artemiy, serving as a First Year Executive at GUILD, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for President. My goal is to uphold and build upon GUILD's tradition of strong leadership and dynamic event organisation.

In my role, I've been committed to planning and executing enriching career events. A notable achievement was organising the LBO Workshop in collaboration with a leading multi-university finance society, providing immense learning opportunities for our members.

As President, my vision is to create an inclusive and engaging community within GUILD. My plans include:

  • Diversifying Events Portfolio: I intend to expand our events to cover a wide range of industries, leveraging our networks in various sectors. This will provide unique insights into underrepresented finance roles, including sports, tech startups, sustainable energy, and digital finance.
  • Strengthening Internal Collaboration: I will focus on enhancing the existing foundation to ensure smooth and cooperative team operations, maximising our efficiency and impact.
  • Boosting Member Engagement: I aim to foster deeper connections with GUILD members, facilitating idea exchange sessions allowing the committee to align its activities with member interests and needs.

Your support in my pursuit to lead GUILD as President is invaluable to me, and will be truly appreciated.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.

Joyce Sze

Hi everyone! My name is Joyce, and I’m a first-year sponsorship executive for UCL Guild. This year, I’ve actively engaged in Guild’s diverse endeavours, from managing event administrative logistics to composing for the Guild Gazette. I initiated a collaboration between Guild, LSE Entrepreneurs, and UCL Fashion Business Society for an event on March 14th. This event, featuring the founders of Jaded London, underscores my commitment to inter-society and university collaborations.

As an IMB course representative, I’ve regularly liaised with the department’s faculty to address my peers’ feedback. This role, coupled with my executive role in the School of Management Society, has equipped me with strong leadership and communication skills.

My vision:

  1. Diversifying Career Opportunities: Recognizing Guild's finance-centric reputation, I’m dedicated to ensuring more diverse career opportunities. From tech to creative industries, I aim to transform Guild into a comprehensive “career hub” that serves diverse interests, while advancing our finance offerings.
  2. Engagement and Responsiveness: To fulfill students’ needs, I’ll implement feedback forms for every event. This will enable us to tailor our initiatives and meet the evolving needs of our members.
  3. Leveraging the 5 Societies Alliance: I strive to maximize our network and position by leveraging the strengths of each society.

I look forward to working with the new committee and supporting you in your career journeys. Thank you!
