Hazel Ling

Communication has always been a source of fascination and inspiration for me. Witnessing the impact of speech-language therapy firsthand, whether it be helping a child find their voice or empowering an individual regain their ability to connect, ignited a passion within me to advocate for this incredible field.

I believe my unique background in marketing, social media and general communications work coupled with my bright, empathetic and friendly approach, makes me the ideal candidate for Communications Officer. I have worked with real SLP clinics (Khan's Communication Services Inc.) as a marketing and communications intern and have done so for years now, and interned at Mattel -- one of the largest children's toys companies -- as a marketing assistant. As such, I am very experienced in the realm of communication & marketing, whether that be web design, social media or general graphic design for materials. I envision a society with a vibrant, multi-faceted communication strategy that not only raises awareness about communication disorders and the life-changing work of speech-language therapists, but also fosters a sense of community and empowers individuals to access resources and support. I'm confident that my skills and dedication will allow me to play a pivotal role in amplifying our society's voice and reaching every individual whose life can be touched by the power of giving voice.
