Gabrielle Pengyu Shao
Hi, I'm Gabrielle from BA Geography! I'm running for General Secretary because I believe I possess the necessary qualities for the role. Here's why:
-As a writer and researcher for geogsoc's publication, Ripple, I actively engage with our society's activities.
-Additionally, I serve as Events and Expedition Officer for the Wilderness Medicine Society, gaining valuable skills in societal management at UCL.
-My past role as President of the student union during high school provided me with ample experience in organizing activities and facilitating communication between students and faculty, which aligns perfectly with the responsibilities of the General Secretary.
-Moreover,I regularly interact with prospective students and parents through online platforms, and I also actively engage in conversations with our faculty while manage to maintain my academics at a controlled level, which will facilitate my role as a committee member for our society.
-I have strong passion for our course and I’d really like to share more valuable information to fellow students and offer holders, especially as an international student!
-I work efficiently with strong time management skills, so I am confident that I won't let you down in this role!
