Lena Nicoletti

Hi everyone! I’m Lena, a First Year undergraduate studying International Social and Political Studies. As I moved all the way from California to London last year, I was worried about finding ‘my people’ at university. I can honestly say that being part of GenFem for the last 6 months has dispelled all of those fears.

I have found this society to be a genuine, wonderful, safe space. Some of the most enriching and validating discussions of my university career thus far have taken place at GenFem events. I truly cherish the sense of community fostered by this society, as well as the important advocacy we are engaged in.

As such, I would be absolutely thrilled to join GenFem’s Committee as Welfare Officer. In this role, I would be committed to upholding GenFem’s values as an inclusive, welcoming, feminist, and LGBTQ+ friendly society. Due to the sensitive nature of the themes often discussed at events, welfare and wellbeing is an incredibly important part of this society. I am extremely passionate about fostering a safe space for women and people of other marginalised gender identities. I look forward to working with the rest of GenFem’s lovely committee and hope to see you all at our next event :)
