Football must be promoted to the masses, and accessible to everyone.

I am standing as 8-a-side captain to identify and improve on the existing problems within the society, and make sure that we get more footballers inside the society from the 2024/25 cohort.

I want to ensure that more regular games are available to students who wish to play more often, alongside participation of the Red Star 4s in a London University League like the 3s, 2s, and 1s.

One of my targets would be to recruit more active students into the society, to expand into more teams and newer leagues.

And finally, more frequent and exciting socials!

Atrijo Sengupta

From the moment I joined Red Star last year, I was absorbed by the incredible sense of inclusivity and involvement shown by its members. Despite being a freshman, the seniors, including those in their final year, went out of their way to not only acquaint themselves with me but also to make me feel genuinely welcome. The friendships we made on the football field—be it in the  7-a-side, 8-a-side, or 11-a-side games—established a profound camaraderie among us. It's this unique connection that has made me want to take on a more significant role within this wonderful society. I am committed to contributing to its ongoing success, ensuring that the incoming freshmen of the next year relish the same level of solidarity and warmth that I experienced from the very start. Thank you so much and Up the Red Star!
