Filipino Society: Treasurer

Hi guys! My name is Julianah, I am currently in Year 2 studying Biochemical Engineering and I’m running for Treasurer. I enjoy playing piano (I'm self taught lol) and baking (vote for me and I’ll bake you cookies).

I’d say I'm generally good with my financial decisions. I have past experience working for an accounting firm and I recognise the responsibilities that come with the role of Treasurer, including financial management, expense tracking and payment collection. As Treasurer I’d make effective financial decisions when planning and budgeting to bring you exciting yet affordable events. I plan to continue working with our current partnerships (Maginhawa Group, Rapsa and Gong Cha) and secure partnerships with more businesses to provide you with unmatched benefits and experiences so you get the most out of your membership! 

Being a part of the Filipino Society, I’ve formed connections with incredible people and even met my current flatmates! Seeing the huge success of the inter-uni events, I’m very eager to collaborate with other Filipino Societies from other universities so you too can build new friendships and meet other people.

I’m thrilled to be running for this role and I can’t wait to give back to the society!
