Rolake Babalola

With my passion for organising events and my creative approach to tasks, I believe that the role of Head of Events is the perfect opportunity for me to contribute to the continued growth and success of the engineering society. As the current marketing executive, I have not only demonstrated my strong organisation skills and commitment to this team but have also gained invaluable experience in effectively promoting and generating excitement around our activities. If elected as Head of Events, I would bring the same spirit of creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication to elevate and plan events throughout the year. I am eager to take a more hands-on role in the coordination and execution of high-quality events. My vision is to devise an engaging calendar with a diverse range of valuable educational, professional, and social experiences. Additionally, I aim to foster greater collaboration with other societies and create joint events that broaden perspectives and networking opportunities. If given the opportunity, I am confident in my ability to elevate our events and foster a sense of excitement within the society.

Afreeda Rahman

It is with great enthusiasm and passion that I express my interest in serving as our next head of events. Being a member of this society as first year representative this year, I have gained an appreciation for the integral role this position has in this society and the impact it has on the experience for all members. As a dedicated member of our committee, I am standing to uphold this position in the upcoming year to foster a vibrant and engaging platform for events and opportunities and ensuring inclusivity, innovation and excellence throughout. I will strive to organise events that cater to the diverse interests and backgrounds of our members, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and represented, and by strengthening our collaboration with various student bodies, both within UCL and external, I aim to bring together individuals from various disciplines to foster interdisciplinary connections. I believe that balance is key and so I will strive to facilitate events of all natures, whether to aid professional development or enable socialisation and networking.
Let us embark on a journey of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
