I want to make sure your shows go as smoothly as possible! Putting on a production at UCL is a huge undertaking and I want to ensure that you have all the resources you need in order to make your show a success. Having performed on the Blooms with various societies, directed a term show (‘Top Girls’) and a Blooms show (‘An Ideal Husband’), I know the ups and downs of the production process and want to fill in those potholes so that the road ahead for you is as smooth as possible.

My aims:

- Provide production teams with whatever resources they need. Whether that be contacts (other societies, costume houses, performance venues, academic input etc.), financial advice or welfare support.

- Maintain a clear channel of communication with stage crew, they are our closest allies and without them your show will be considerably less jazzy. Get to know them!

- Create a list of performance venues available to you, including non-traditional playing spaces (black box is good but let’s get creative!)

- Cultivate a list of agents and industry professionals to make sure the right people see your work.

- Offer support during the rehearsal process. I want to make your creative vision a reality and will do everything in my capacity to make that happen!

- Create an archive of past productions. This way we will have a record of all your hard work (good to show employers), and will help us to ensure that going forward we are able to produce a fresh and diverse repertoire of theatre.

I've been a dedicated member of Drama Society since starting UCL, being elected as Workshops Officer for the last 2 years. In this role I've tried to improve accessibility to the society, planning and leading bi-weekly workshops, and creating the Monologue Festival, open to all, which will be held this year in the Bloomsbury Theatre.

I now feel I'd like to take a step up - taking greater responsibility and opportunity to overlook productions and enable accessibility through this other facet. I have experience on professional productions, playing leads in 'Running Wild' and 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at Regents Park Open Air Theatre, UK Tour and on the West End at the Barbican. I also have experience assisting professional directors - such as Wiebke Green on 'The Journey to Venice' at the Finborough Theatre, and 'Union' at the Arcola, while also having received mentorship from Mike Alfreds (Different Every Night) and Max Harrison (Lidless Theatre). My experience has enabled me to collaborate with a range of directors, producers, designers and crew. I understand it takes an army to produce brilliant theatre, which Drama Society proves to do year on year.

As well as a passion for theatre and arts, which I strive to do as a career, I also have the organisational and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stage crew, theatre venues and the cast and crew of shows. Voting for me as Head of Production, I will endeavour to manage and help create pieces of theatre to a professional standard for UCL!
