Consulting Society: Secretary

Hello!

My name is Andy Liu, an Economics student, running to be the Secretary at Consulting Society.

Given the business network at UCL, I landed a role as a First Year Rep at the UCL Consulting Society, where I focused on creating interactive content to better resonate with our audience. This experience provided me with a solid understanding of the consulting industry and highlighted the demand of many students to enter this field, despite often lacking the necessary insights and connections. 

This year, my main agenda includes:

• Organization: Planning internal meetings and drafting agendas for our club
• Member-Engagement: Coordinate engaging events, workshops, and guest speaker sessions that cater to the interests of our members, creating a welcome community
• Connection: Building long-lasting relationships with other UCL clubs to facilitate cooperations
• Outreach: Establishing partnerships with leading consulting firms to maximize the society’s exposure in consulting

By voting for me, I will use my diverse experience to create a positive impact within UCL Consulting Society, maintaining our strong position as a premier career society at UCL.

Hi! I’m James, a current First Year Representative in the Consulting Society running for Secretary.

The role of Secretary presents an incredible chance to make a real impact on the future of this society. Being a part of Consulting Society for the past year, I feel a deep sense of connection and a strong desire to contribute further. Therefore, as someone who strives for excellence and takes on challenges, I am confident that taking on the role of Secretary will allow me to play a meaningful role in shaping its success.

In the upcoming year, I plan on: 

1) Inclusion: I'm committed to fostering a more diverse and inclusive society by implementing initiatives that celebrate different perspectives and build a supportive community.

2) Organisation: I believe I am able to provide administrative support to the committee, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining records and organising documents.

3) Collaboration: To foster collaboration, I plan to actively engage with other UCL societies, therefore allowing us to co-host larger events with bigger budgets. I will also assist in reorganising the inter-uni case competition that was very successful this year. 

4) Growth: I'm excited to work on building the foundations for a new case competition team for UCL Consulting Society, which would position UCLCS to excel in upcoming competitions.
