Jash Shah

Hi everyone, my name is Jash and I am a first-year computer science student. Being a computer science student, it is obvious that computer science intrigues me and I am always up to date with all the upcoming technologies. Today, the world is developing so fast with new technologies being developed each and every day. Being an enthusiast, there is no better way to be connected with technology than being part of the Computer Science Society. Their events are fun, unique and collaborative which is why I have applied for the Head of Events of this Society. I have been experienced with managing and organising events during my school years thus I think I am a perfect fit for this role. I have already thought of quite a few interesting event ideas that we could do next year which would help boost the expansion of the society. I hope you all trust me with this position and vote for me. Hope to see you all next year at the amazing Computer Science Society events :).

Maulik Tripathi

I am running for Head of Events of Computer Science Society because I believe I have the experience and skills to facilitate insightful and enriching events.

I intend to work both students to determine how best to implement what students want from the society.

I am particularly suited to this role, as I have extensive experience of organising events and working in societies.

Currently, I am an events executive in CSS and was heavily involved in organising the recent talk with Simon Peyton Jones.

Being part of the committee has given me an understanding on how the different departments within the society operate. This has given me an insight into how best to collaborate with them to be more effective.

Previously, I was in charge of running my School's Computer Science society. This involved hosting weekly sessions teaching students how to code, and organising talks with external speakers.

I also ran my school's debating society, where I hosted and moderated weekly debates between students. Additionally, I organized multiple book sales at my school, coordinating with multiple departments to sell old and unwanted textbooks.

These experiences have given me great insight in how societies work and how to organise events, and so voting for me would mean voting for well-organised events.
