Climate Action Society: President

Hey CAS! I'm Riane, and I have been the events officer of CAS for the past two years. It has been an absolute joy to be on this journey, and to meet all the wonderful and passionate individuals in CAS. The past two years have given me so much perspective on what it means to be passionate about climate issues and working towards a more equitable and just society. I've seen how climate action can come in all forms, and nothing is too little to matter. Climate is a personal issue as much as a societal one. My vision for CAS is for it to be a society where everyone feels comfortable to contribute in any way they want to, where individuals are given the opportunity to execute their ideas and work on what holds meaning for them, regardless of whether they are in the committee or not. I believe that my previous experience in organising events for CAS, liasing with external speakers and bringing the community together through fun socials and educational events will stand me in good stead. If given the chance, I would love to continue working on CAS, and to build on the phenomenal work of our previous committees :D
