Classics society has meant a lot to me ever since I came to university, which is why I want to give back.

As the treasurer, I have had experience with assisting the president in a variety of ways - planning events, taking minutes during meetings, and researching logistics for our events - which will help me serve well as the vice president.

My experience in classics society this year means I have a good understanding of how the society works, meaning I would be able to take initiative where necessary when the president isn't there.

Emma Silvestri

Hi! I’d love to be chosen for Vice President of the Classics Society as believe I could bring both the ability to organise and create exciting new events to the role. I have experience with having the responsibilities of organisation through being an Academic Representative, being the current Outreach Officer of this society, previously being the editor of ‘Kleos’ magazine and the Head of my 6th Form Council. If I were to be chosen, I would really enjoy bringing in new activities such as Ancient Greek jewellery making using a variety of ancient techniques I’ve studied and of course continue the amazing activities that have run this year. Thank you so much for considering me for this post!
