The classics society events have always been something I have thoroughly enjoyed, especially the trips to the British Museum and the toga party, which is why I want to help plan upcoming events for the society.

Already, as the treasurer, I have had experience with planning such events, including researching prospective venues, helping with ticket sales, and assisting with the setup for the events. This experience would greatly help me when it came to being the social secretary.

One event I would want to run as the social secretary would be a trip to the Roman Baths, which we could hopefully run as an overnight trip where we can not only enjoy the classical site but also have fun as a society.
