Emily Fan

My skills and interests align perfectly for this role. I have 7 years of debate experience, with 3 as a debate coach and team captain, from which I have gained plenty of communication and teamwork skills. Most importantly, I have the ability to successfully lead, think on my feet, and to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. This makes me an excellent fit to be the Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing. I am also currently an intern for a start-up, where I work in the Marketing sector - I analyze the best times to post on social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn. My knowledge of this is easily transferable to this society, where I can help push social media engagement. As someone who greatly enjoys this society’s events and is personally inspired by the wide range of opportunities, I would love to use my skills as the Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing to give back to the society, and to grow alongside it.

Laura Yang

As a candidate for our business society's Marketing and Public Relations Vice president position, I bring a genuine passion for creativity and foster strong community connections. Being this year’s first-year executive, I have had the invaluable opportunity to immerse in the work and gain firsthand insights by forming part of the team which helped me grow my first steps into the business domain, strategic communication, and event planning. Hence, I am eager to leverage this experience to the next level where I want to continue to grow personally and equip myself with the best skills. I am a dedicated, passionate, and perfectionist person who also loves teamwork and interacting with different people. I am excited about the prospect of contributing to the continued growth and success of the Business Society,  hoping to help the platform ensure showing to the world how this is a hub of innovation and inspiration with incredible opportunities to learn from.

Jack Day

So who am I? I'm a 1st year undergraduate student studying BSc Biomedical Sciences. While looking into societies, I came across the Business Society and was immediately interested. For some time, I have been drawn to the commercial side of biosciences rather than the academic side and joining the Business Society seemed like a great opportunity to find out more.

Marketing and public relations has always interested me as I feel marketing is the driving force behind the success of organisations and if done right, this gives a huge sense of accomplishment not just for you, but for your team, clients and well, everyone! A marketing role, of course, requires communication skills and analytical thinking, both of which I have been developing and I am keen to develop them further in this role.

I have been inspired by some of the recent talks I have attended and would love to get more involved with the running and planning side of the society. I have contacts whose expertise we could benefit from to make the society and its members the best they can be.

Just to finish, watching shows ranging from The Apprentice and Dragons Den (best time of year when these start!) to any comedy, playing golf and experiencing both the country and the city are my favourite things to do.

Camille Saade Euverte

I developed a business mindset early on; my parents have thriving businesses in the luxury hospitality milieu. Having worked alongside them since I was very young, my moving into the world of management through my course at university (management science)  and seeking internship opportunities were the most natural fit for me. I learned to identify strategies focused on delivering results under direct circumstances. Navigating Lebanon's most challenging economic and political landscape, our business model strongly focused on upholding professional relationships, supporting the team, and working alongside our managers to develop new ways to retain our clientele.

The mix of business and public relations that this position offers excites me and I sincerely believe that I would be a great fit for this role. I also want to contribute to the society as a whole, share new ideas and projects meet the team and build stromg reliationship that will serve as an asset to our future careers.
