Nicole Liubarski

Hi, I'm Nicole, a 1st year Natural Sciences student.

Why am I standing? There's no chairs.

In addition to that, this society has given me such a wonderful opportunity to grow in confidence and build lots of strong connections with its members, and one of the main contributors has been the incredibly supportive network this year's committee has built. Being able to come to practice and knowing that I'm always entering an environment where I feel safe and comfortable to train, has been invaluable to the enjoyment this society brings.

Therefore I am extremely committed to maintaining a sense of community and safety within the society. I care deeply about the wellbeing of all our members, and am always open to talking about and addressing any concerns, problems or general comments they might have about the way the society is run. This could be relating to the respectful culture we are careful to cultivate, or any individual problems that might impact their ability to enjoy the wonderful opportunities BJJ has to offer!

Emotional, physical and mental wellbeing is something I take very seriously, and will take a proactive stance in upholding for all of our members. I will arrange regular opportunities for check-ins, maintain effective communication with the rest of committee, and will generally always be available to grab for a chat! 

I would love for the opportunity to give back to this wonderful community, that has provided me with such a sense of belonging and enjoyment.
