Siddharth Parambath

As a law student with a genuine passion for leisure reading, I'm delighted to announce my candidacy for the role of Welfare Officer at the UCL Book Club. Our club provides a welcoming space for book enthusiasts to gather and engage in discussions on a variety of literary works, from novels to short stories and poetry. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive group, open to all who wish to share their love of reading or seek recommendations.

In my candidacy for Welfare Officer, I propose to introduce new and innovative initiatives to enhance the well-being and enjoyment of our members. Here's a glimpse of what I have in mind:

1. Offering a tranquil virtual space for members to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in the joy of reading.

2. Facilitating the exchange of books among members, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for discovering new literary gems.

3. Collaborating with wellness experts to provide tailored workshops on self-care and stress management techniques, specifically designed for book lovers.

4. Implementing a buddy system to pair members together, encouraging mutual support, and fostering deeper connections within the club.

With your support, I look forward to bringing these initiatives to life and further enriching the UCL Book Club experience for all members. Together, let's continue to celebrate the beauty of literature and the joy of reading in our vibrant community.
