Henry Bristow
I am happy to announce that I am re-running for Rowing Secretary in 2024-25!
Looking back on my promises from last year I achieved my following set goals:
- A more financially accessible mode of rowing which has been achieved in the lowered cost of camp from previous years, whilst still improving the facilities that are available to the athletes.
- Successful entry of our club into every race so far this season (soured slightly by the fact that most of them have been cancelled but alas).
- Ensured equity and easy access for all squads in races and facilities.
Looking forward to next year, I aim to use my experience and contacts to streamline the functioning of the club, providing needed consistency in a fast changing committee. This platform will also allow me to focus on improving communication and inclusion to the wider club, and the relationship with the Student's Union to facilitate our club's needs.
I have really enjoyed the challenges of Rowing Secretary and hope to do what I can to provide an amazing university rowing experience to everyone in 2024-25 (including everyone getting a triple plait from Zoë at BUCS).
