Bhangra Society: Social Secretary

Hello everyone, I'm Balraj, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Social Secretary. Reflecting on my first year in the Bhangra Society, this community has been pivotal in shaping my university experience, from the weekly classes to the fun times spent preparing for rangeela. This has also allowed me to make many meaningful friendships. If elected, I'm committed to contributing actively to the continuous flourishing of our vibrant society, fostering an inclusive environment for new members. Ensuring every member, especially incoming freshers, feels inspired to become integral parts of our society is a priority. The bonds formed within the UCL Bhangra Society extend beyond the stage, creating lasting memories and friendships that enrich our university experience.

Promoting a broader interest in Bhangra is key to our society's growth. I hope to collaborate with the committee to foster a greater interest that goes beyond the weekly classes. Encouraging participation in competitions and performances is vital to showcasing diverse talents within our community and elevating the society's profile.
