Beekeeping Society: Welfare Officer

Hey everyone! My name is Danilo and I would love to be your Welfare Officer! I know the importance of bees and beekeeping to the environment and health and I want to help revive this amazing society in order to support the world becoming a more bee-friendly place! My plans for next year include:

1.) Regular Welfare Checks in the groupchat in order to see how members are doing and to check in on those not doing too well so I can provide support + provide useful resources to help members, including promoting the Participation fund 

2.) Run Welfare Socials (such as "Biscuit and Chat" drop ins) and other fun events, such as Kahoot nights, movie nights (including of course "The Bee Movie"!), donut socials, game nights, pub socials and more!

3.) Organise collabs with other societies, universities and networks, such as the UCL Climate Action Society and the Animal Rights Society. I have a lot of connections and I am looking forward to the new friendships that will be made!

4.) Help fundraise for bee-related charities and raise awareness about bees in UCL and the wider community

5.) Invite guest speakers in to talk about bee keeping and organise some workshops!

I am a very caring and dedicated person and I have run a number of societies and groups at UCL, and have been Welfare Officer of many, and thus I have the relevant experience to help all of you enjoy the bee-keeping society as much as possible!
