I believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another. As Welfare Officer, I will strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members. I am committed to promoting mental health and well-being, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that every member feels valued and supported. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as your Welfare Officer and to contribute to the continued success of our society.

Michelle Zhou

I am very committed to Asset Management Society and want my contributions to make our community stronger! As a female heading into asset management, I want our society to bring in more solid support in our careers, more insightful talks and discussions, more opportunities around the world, and closer collaboration among us!

If you have any ideas or expectations on Asset Management Society, let me know and our team will let it happen! In my 1 year of membership here, I saw our strengths in helping proactive students like us in pursuing our dream careers. I have more than 5 years of society leadership experiences. I will collaborate closely with other committee members and listen carefully to each of our member’s voices, supporting your welfare and also high-quality careers events that bring together students, top employers, and industrial professionals, fostering a greater asset management community for everyone!

Ekaterina Linde

Hi everyone! My name is Ekaterina (but I go by Katya), and I am a first-year student studying economics. This year, I was fortunate enough to get the position of First-Year Representative at UCLAM. During my time on the committee, I not only acquired skills and knowledge that would assist me in my career journey but also close friends who I knew I could rely on for advice and help. It was truly an invaluable experience that has influenced my time at university. Coming to UCL, I didn’t have much finance knowledge, so I was looking for ways to learn more about the field. I remember talking to the president of the society during the society fair and being astounded by the number of resources UCLAM provided. Through speaker talks, I gained insights into various areas of finance and career development. The Bootcamp provided me with theoretical knowledge, an understanding of how to present a stock pitch, and what data to pay attention to. On top of the general resources provided by the society, the committee members themselves were eager to give guidance and advice whenever I needed it.

I am beyond grateful for all the support I have received, and I want to contribute back to society and ensure that other members also get to experience the same supportive and welcoming environment as I have. I am looking forward to collaborating with the rest of the committee next year to safeguard the reputation of society and deliver valuable knowledge for the members. Thank you for reading!
