Asiatic Affairs Society: Publications Director

Hello!

My name is Jan and I’m a first-year ISPS student, studying Mandarin and IR. My interests include sustainable development and Oceanian politics. I’m standing for Publications Director as a way to further engage with Asian politics and help broadcast issues people are passionate about to a larger audience. I aim in particular to help expand underrepresented topics in South East Asia and Pacific politics. It’s fantastic to give students a platform to speak on issues important to them, and I want to continue the work Asiatic Affairs Society has done through its publication as well as its integration with other societies to form connections allowing students to connect with like-minded people. Overall to be more involved would be a great opportunity to help foster a network of people focused on Asian affairs!
