Emil Medzhidov

As a current student representative of the AI society, i would want to advance my experience with people of the society and extend my set of duties to a higher scale by dedicating my time to a certain area of society. Therefore, I would like to take over the tutorials team not only to improve my understanding of machine learning and AI, but also to enhance my ability to speak in front of a large audience which i may find useful to apply in later years of my degree, for example in group projects or scenarios. Another reason why my interest belongs to Tutorials team is the amount of insight I receive into the world of artificial intelligence and deep learning, crucial for my future career as a software engineer/data scientist. By learning in place and then teaching someone how machine learning works, i can escalate the speed of learning for myself and have a fresh understanding of what is the current state of AI technology to share with other students. Thus, i would be happy to continue my journey in the Artificial Intelligence Society next year, but as a Head of Tutorials team.

Sergi Kavtaradze

Dear AI Society Members,

My name is Sergi Kavtaradze, and I am a third-year student studying Medical Physics. I am running for the position of Head of Machine Learning Tutorials. I had the pleasure of attending tutorials organized by Angela Yu in the past year, which helped me gain exposure to AI and Machine Learning topics. As someone who benefited greatly from these tutorials, I would love to offer you and the future members an even better experience!

Why Me?

  • Commitment: My consistent presence at our tutorials reflects my dedication and passion for AI and machine learning.
  • Vision:  For the people attending tutorials to spend at least 30 minutes at home going through the concepts introduced in the tutorials. I'll use video clips of the concepts and encourage them to look at them independently. They may not master the topics thoroughly, but with exposure, they can develop their skills if interested.
  • Collaborative Approach: I believe in creating an inclusive, engaging, and dynamic learning environment that encourages collaboration and feedback. Teaching is a two-way exchange, and I hope to learn from the attendees and instruct them.

My Promise!

  • Make tutorials more interactive and application-focused.
  • Ensure resources cater to a wide range of learning styles and levels.
  • Improve each session based on your feedback.

Thank you for considering my candidacy!
