Angela Nikolaidi

Parev! I’m Angela, an Armenian-Greek student studying Pharmacy.

Having grown up among the Armenian communities in Cairo & Dubai, I've seen first-hand the immense value of forming bonds with one another. I'm grateful knowing wherever I go around the globe, there's a community of Armenians waiting with open arms. And this is what I intend to provide as the president of UCL’s Armenian Society.

Needless to say, the society's purpose is to immerse ourselves in the Armenian ways. Like past years, I hope to host events that encourage us to form positive experiences around exploring our culture, such as quiz nights  & putting our dance skills to the test by organising an Armenian dance class. Additionally, collaborating with other (Armenian) societies has been common practice, & I will make sure it continues in the next academic year.

Supporting Armenian students is also vital, which networking events are perfect for. Furthermore, helping the Armenian people is an unspoken given, & I hope to continue the philanthropic efforts of this society's former stellar committees.

To add, my experiences as a student mentor at school & student rep. at UCL lend well to thriving as president. These opportunities allowed me to comprehend the responsibility of ensuring the well-being of many students & putting my utmost effort to hear their voices & fulfil their wishes.

To conclude, as president, I will strive to foster the bonds formed among us Armenians in London, regardless of where we hail from.
