Tonia Chan

As a passionate advocate against injustice and defender of human rights, I am driven by a strong commitment to making a positive impact in my community and beyond. I am dedicated to collaborating with local schools and organisations to raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations about human rights and current events.

I believe my experience in working with students and advocating for human rights qualifies me for the role of outreach officer:

  • Form Representative: Assisted year 7 students in transitioning to high school by providing support, organising presentations, and facilitating events.
  • Tutoring: Provided academic support and guidance to students to aid in their learning.
  • HKSACIC (Youth Organisation): Hosted events for local students, promoting community engagement.
  • Passion for Human Rights: Conducted an extended project in high school on freedom of expression and freedom of speech, demonstrating a deep commitment to human rights issues.
  • Political Advocacy: Actively involved in addressing political issues and injustices worldwide.
  • HKPASS Sub-committee: Publishing news articles on current events in the UK and Hong Kong.
