180 DEGREES CONSULTING
- BIGGER
- BETTER
1 year ago, I had no knowledge, no plan and no ideas for my career goals. Today, I am a Consultant at 180DC and London Strategic Consultanting, and Social Entrepreneur at IDEAS Globally.
I will use my experience of starting from square one to help jumpstart your consulting career. As Partnerships Director, I will be guided by 4 MISSIONS (C.L.E.M. method) when securing BIGGER and BETTER opportunities for you:
- C: Consultant Networking: Invite real world consultants to inform you of the nature of consulting. MBB, Big Four, Social Enterprise and Charities.
- L: Learn about Yourself: Tailor one-to-one CV, Case Study and Networking opportunities with Consultants and UCL Alumni. Strengthen your unique talents, interests and needs. Not blindly emulate finance bros and gals!
- E: Expand Horizons: Understand the social impact of consulting beyond the business regarding Social Enterprises, Charities and Pro Bono work. Connect profit and non-profit sectors!
- M: Make It Count: Ensure sufficient industry exposure to build your confidence and skill. Make every step into your consulting career count!
For you - the aspiring MBB Consultant with a Social Conscience - MBB with CLEM!
As a 2nd-year student in Medical Innovation and Enterprise, my journey with 180DC has been nothing short of transformative, and I am eager to contribute my passion and skills to further our mission of social impact.
This society has been a huge inspiration throughout my uni experience. Through immersive case-study workshops and the invaluable opportunity to work on a consulting project, I not only gained practical insights and hands-on experience but also had the amazing amazing opportunity to collaborate and learn from some of the smartest people I've ever met.
I've had the privilege of serving as Secretary of the Malaysian Society and Marketing Director of the MedTech Society. These roles have honed my skills in collaboration, communication, and creativity, which I'm eager to leverage in advancing our goals at 180 Degrees Consulting UCL.
If elected, I am committed to:
-
Enhancing collaborative events with different branches and societies to diversify our partner network and the scope of our events, including conferences, panels, and mentorship programs
-
Continue strengthening existing relationships with sponsors through regular communication, feedback sessions, and tailored engagement opportunities.
-
Implement initiatives to expand alumni involvement within the society, including but not limited to networking events, industry-specific workshops, mentorship programs, and collaborative projects, aimed at fostering a dynamic and enriching alumni experience.
As the current treasurer and a dedicated team lead for one of our core projects, I have gained invaluable experience in managing finances and leading teams within 180 Degrees Consulting. My passion for consulting and volunteering is evident through my active involvement in projects such as my father's breast cancer charity and our ongoing initiative with Involve Nepal. Additionally, I have a proven track record of fostering meaningful connections and partnerships. I organized a successful speed networking event for UCL Guild, which brought together professionals from esteemed firms such as Barclays, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, and Accenture. Similarly, I was a key organiser of the 180DC Speed Networking with UCL Alumni from BCG, PWC, EY and more. This experience has honed my skills in relationship-building and collaboration, making me well-suited for the role of partnership manager. I am committed to leveraging my expertise to cultivate strategic partnerships that drive the success and impact of our organization. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the communities we serve and create lasting change.
