Yoga and Meditation Club: Treasurer

Hey, I'm Penny and I'm hoping to be your new Yoga society Treasurer! I've decided to apply for this position as I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the yoga society here at UCL! My role as treasurer will focus on understanding our annual budget and ensuring I'm not only putting it to good use for our community today but also preparing for the future so we have the financial means for yoga soc to best thrive! If elected I will work closely with the rest of the committee to ensure all aspects of the society are well supported, whether it be the physical yoga classes itself, or organising of money dedicated to expanding and strengthening our community through socials. I am very enthusiastic about ensuring every member of our society feels valued and heard so, I am very keen to communicate with you all to understand how I can best utilise our budget so I can implement the changes you want to see at yoga soc. I understand the high importance of the role being delegated to someone with the commitment and passion to the society and I have the both the technical and the communicative capabilities to succeed in this role as well as the motivation to see yoga society be the best it can be! I can't wait for the variety and challenge this role will provide ,if elected, in managing the financial ongoings of our little yoga community! If you guys choose me I will do my best to put our best foot forward financially to help us all achieve the most out of experience at yoga soc! :)

Hey! I’m Lara and I would love to be treasurer! I am a first year Biological Sciences student who loves all things yoga :) I have loved regular yoga classes this year and would really like to play a more active role in the society.

As treasurer, I would sort out the money side and communications with Student Union to keep on top of the cash! I would love to help the society run as smooth as possible and do my best to continue the great work the committee this year has done! I am an organised person, good with numbers (and a budget!) and would be dedicated to this role for the whole year - on top of being passionate for yoga and the society! I love working as a team so would enjoy working closely with the rest of the committee, and bring a few ideas to the table to build more community in the society, as well as some fun socials and classes!

Yoga families have been such a good idea this year, and I’ve made some lovely friends in my family :) I would really enjoy carrying this on next year with my own yoga family, to organise activities and meet-ups, and help more people meet their fellow yogis!
